Job Title: Label Room Operator
Reporting to: Product Quality Assurance Manager
Contract:  Seasonal (3-5 months),based on 48hrs per week
Start: As soon as possible

Main Duties:

  • Print and issue labels to packing lines using DataGuard, Bartender and Vector software
  • Complete daily label production check forms accurately and on time.
  • Carry out routine verification checks to ensure label accuracy and prevent mislabelling, customer complaint or product withdrawals.
  • Maintain label printing systems and ensure DataGuard, Bartender and Vector files are up to date and correctly uploaded.
  • Manage label stock control including stock counts, monitoring usage, and ensuring adequate stock is available at all times.
  • Record, report and escalate printer faults or system issues to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Produce and submit weekly label waste reports, identifying trends and supporting waste reduction initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with Line Leaders, QA and Production teams regarding labelling issues, quality concerns and efficiency improvements.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience preferred
  • Strong attention to details and clear understanding of the importance of label compliance and traceability.
  • Competent IT skills (Word, Excel)
  • Good level of written and spoken English
  • Organised and methodical approach
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to raise concerns, escalate issues
  • Proactive and solution-focused mindset with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to maintain high standards of hygiene, quality and safety.
