Job Title: Growing Assistant
Reporting to: Glasshouse Manager
Contract: Seasonal, weekly salaried
Start: 01 December 2024

Main Duties:

• Assisting in the watering & feeding of the crops via automated growing systems
• Collection & analysis of daily run off & drip data
• Collection & analysis of GDH & Chill units
• Daily monitoring of Temperature, Humidity and CO2 levels within the crops
• Fertiliser mixing and record keeping
• Maintaining adequate drainage within the site & surrounding areas
• Maintaining irrigation storage areas, containers and feed stations
• Assist with stock taking & stock monitoring
• Collection of coir, water and leaf samples
• Calibrate dosing equipment to ensure that the correct rate is being applied to the crop
• To carry out general maintenance on production equipment & systems where necessary.

Skills & Qualifications:

• UK/EU Driving Licence – desirable
• Excellent communication skills – essential
• Self-motivated – essential
• Flexible on working hours, including weekends, bank holidays and cover as required.
