Job Title: Product Quality Assurance Coordinator
Reporting to: Product Quality Assurance Manager
Contract: Permanent, 48hours per week.

Main Duties:

  • Correct stock control to be maintained to ensure that product is aligned with business and customer requirements and waste is minimized.
  • Allocating stock to customer orders based on availability and priority
  • Co-ordinating with production, label room and warehouse teams on stock distribution
  • Liasing with planning, procurement and commercial teams regarding stock availability
  • Maintaining inventory accuracy and investigating and resolving stock discrepancies
  • Maintaining all quality and stock control data
  • Conducting raw material quality inspections at intake and completing relevant documents to ensure accurate traceability
  • Reporting quality issues, non-conformances and out of spec fruit
  • Supporting investigations into quality concerns and corrective actions
  • Monitoring product appearance, labelling, packaging and weight
  • Conducting finished product inspections including verifying paperwork
  • Assisting with product sampling (internal and external)
  • Shelf-life management
  • Verifying product compliance with customer and food safety standards
  • Supporting with data gathering for the weekly quality meeting
  • Carrying out verification checks on equipment at specified intervals

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced quality function within the fresh produce or food sector
  • Customer facing experience would be advantageous
  • Food Safety Level 2
  • Familiarity with retail and food safety standards
  • The right candidate must stand up for what is right in the eyes of the customer and be able to articulate and reason with the business with insight led recommendations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office applications and other software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills that develop and nurture external and internal stakeholder relationships
  • The successful candidate must have the legal right to work in the UK
