Job Title: Plants Coordinator
Reporting to: Nursery Manager
Contract: Permanent
Salary: To be confirmed on application
Actively participate as integral member of department to ensure plants are fit for purpose and supplied to TSBC production sites and associated growers on time.
Main Duties:
- Take data supplied to you by Nursery Manager and prepare file of plant allocation per variety, per plant type, and per nursery.
- Prepare loading schedule for plant material to be supplied to UK from each nursery, as well as have an overview of TSBC’s global plant logistics. Coordinate within TSBC staff and each nursery the logistics of plant material.
- Clear understanding of the Minimum Plant Specifications for the plant material being sourced from each nursery
- Coordinate with Nursery Mgr. and contracted Plant Pathologist the sampling in nursery for detecting specific plant diseases.
- Assure that nurseries complete a quality control analysis for every lot being distributed to TSBC, and that this report is sent to TSBC in a timely manner.
- Make brief reports after each nursery visit highlighting any possible risks to production of plants identified.
- Coordinate with Trial Mangers that trial material arrives on site at requested dates.
Skills & Qualifications:
- University degree in an agricultural field or work-related experience in this sector
- Ability to solve problems independently
- The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK
- Holder of driver’s license
- Willingness to travel
