Job Title: Head of Operations
Reporting to: Operations Director Portugal
Purpose of Role: To create a positive culture and assist in the management of an industry leading soft fruit farm.  To assist the Operations Director PT in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the farm with particular attention to the successful growing and harvesting of fruit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support line managers and their performances (regular meetings, appraisals, KPI’s, progress, feedback), giving also support with teams below;
• Be involved in recruitment processes, organize training and provide the support required to complete tasks;
• Plan and support the Harvest and Husbandry department together with the Managers involved (4 weeks estimate forecast, day-to-day plans, labour requirements, logistics, fruit quality, performance improvement, costs, etc.);
• Plan and support machinery and maintenance departments;
• Organize outsourced plant storage;
• Organize transport in/out of the Farm;
• Together with the HS&C Manager, deliver the HS&C standards and targets;
• Together with the Quality Manager, deliver the Quality standards and targets;
• Responsible for the project management plan and budget in collaboration with interested departments, ensuring compliance with deadlines and all internal and legal requirements;
• Represent TSBC brand and communicate the TSBC values.

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Agronomy, Engineering, Business Management or similar;
• Previous Agriculture operations experience (preferential);
• Strong communication and analytical skills;
• Fluent in Portuguese and English;
• Strong skills in budget development and oversight;
• Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control.
