Job Title:  Finance Apprentice
Reporting To:  Group Financial Controller

Role Overview:

The Finance Apprentice is an entry-level role into the Finance team in which you will study to attain the AAT Level 3 and Level 4 qualification while working, gaining a breadth of experience across the Finance function.

The role will initially support and add cover on sales ledger, purchase ledger and basic accounting tasks as well as working with the Group Financial Controller and more senior members of the Finance team on developing Power-BI reporting for Business Central for UK, Portugal and Group. The Finance Apprentice will also be involved in ad hoc project work and provide support for the budget and forecast processes.

 Key Responsibilities:

Finance support:

  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Processing sales invoices
  • Month-end work, including journals and reconciliations
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Process improvement

Power-BI reporting:

  • Working with the business on requirements to set up Power-BI reporting for Portugal, UK and Group
  • Reviewing usage and suitability of current Power-BI reports

Budget and Forecasting

  • Understand budget and forecast processes and assist the Finance Team accordingly

Other

  • Ad hoc queries, including for Group Financial Controller, UK and Portugal Finance Managers and Finance Director

 Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Background and experience

  • Essential: GCSE or equivalent Maths and English / 9/A* – 4/C.
  • Essential: AAT Level 2
  • Desired: 3 A-Levels A-C, or equivalent T-Levels
  • You will be above the statutory school leaver age by August 2025
