Job Title: People & Culture Assistant
Reporting to: P&C Business Partner
Contract: Permanent

Main Duties:

  • Manage and maintain employee Time & Attendance records within the T&A system, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date for payroll processing.
  • Review, verify, and amend timesheets to ensure accuracy of recorded hours, absences, and attendance.
  • Ensure all working time data is correctly recorded ahead of payroll cut-off deadlines.
  • Apply pay adjustments where required (e.g. deductions and corrections).
  • Investigate and resolve timesheet discrepancies, escalating issues where necessary to ensure employees are paid correctly.
  • Support managers and supervisors with queries on hours worked and attendance records.
  • Act as the first point of contact for workers, visitors, deliveries, and incoming post.
  • Support recruitment activities, including interviews and candidate coordination.
  • Conduct inductions and ensure all onboarding documentation is completed accurately and within required timescales via the company onboarding app.
  • Carry out Right to Work checks in line with legal and company requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure systems are kept up to date.
  • Produce labour and workforce reports (including returnee and Labour Provider reporting) as required.
  • Support ad hoc reporting, workforce analysis, and administrative tasks to meet business needs.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Speaking other languages will be an advantage.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive, positive, and solution-focused approach.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
