Job Title: Technical Compliance Officer
Reporting to: Site Technical Manager
Contract: Permanent

Main Duties:

• Ensure all products produced on site are compliant to food safety, quality and legal standards (BRCGS, Global Gap, Red Tractor, customer standards, specifications etc.)
• Manage, develop and drive continuous improvement through the internal audit programme against 3rd party and customer standards
• Control and manage non-conformities and corrective actions, ensuring root causes are addressed
• Assist managing pest control for the site in conjunction with the pest control provider
• Support the Site Technical Manager in the management, creation & monitoring of technical projects
• Participate in the company HACCP team and other working groups as appropriate
• Challenge and maintain strong hygiene controls across the packhouse and wider business
• Supervising and managing a small team
• Create, prepare & present KPIs & other reporting to agreed timescales

Skills & Qualifications:

• Flexible with working hours
• Experience working in a technical compliance function within the fresh produce or food sector
• Customer facing experience would be advantageous
• HACCP Level 2 – ideally higher
• Food Safety Level 2 – ideally higher
• Internal auditor training
• TACCP/VACCP trained – this can be provided
• Familiarity with retail and BRCGS food safety standards
• Degree or similar qualification in a relevant field would be advantageous
• Strong IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office applications and other software
