Job title: Compliance Assistant
Reporting to: Quality & Compliance Manager

 About the role

We are looking for a Compliance Assistant to support the implementation and monitoring of our food safety management system. This role is key to ensuring that our processes, products, and operations meet all legal, regulatory, and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of the food safety management system (e.g. HACCP, regulatory standards, legal requirements)
• Ensure compliance with food safety, integrity, and quality standards across operations
• Assist in internal and external audits, preparing required documentation
• Monitor procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct field and packhouse inspections (hygiene, handling practices, product compliance)
• Identify non-conformities and support corrective and preventive actions
• Ensure products meet food safety, legality, authenticity, and quality standards
• Support complaint management, including root cause analysis
• Deliver internal training on food safety and hygiene practices
• Promote awareness and understanding of food safety requirements across teams
• Contribute to building a strong food safety culture within the organisation

Requirements

• Good level of English and Portuguese
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Previous experience in food industry compliance is a plus
