Job Title: Nursery Manager
Reporting to: Genetics Director
Contract: Permanent

Organise the planning of the contracted nurseries and TSBC own nursery programmes. Oversee that plants are being produced according to plan and manage any issues related to plants not fit for purpose.

Main Duties:

• Utilise nursery scorecard to make the official plant orders with the contracted nurseries.
• Build knowledge of the clean stock system the nurseries are utilizing.
• Responsible for updating Production Dept if there are shortages or delays of plant orders in a timely manner.
• Update Genetics Director on any expected shortfalls on plant requests with priority
• Delegate to Nursery Coordinator that the nursery protocols are being respected.
• Regular reporting with each nursery location and will be expected to travel to the nurseries as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Capacity to work in a team and focus on that team’s collective objectives
• Ability to evaluate an issue and make an investigative analysis to what are the causes.
• The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK
• Must be willing to travel to geographies where propagation is being contracted.
• Current driver’s license
