Job Title: Product Quality Assurance Manager
Reporting to: Site Technical Manager (UK)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: To be confirmed on application
Start: As soon as possible

Main Duties:

• Manage product quality to ensure all products produced on site are conforming with food safety, integrity and legal standards and requirements (BRCGS, TFS, Global Gap, Red Tractor, customer specifications etc.)
• Deliver the Quality Service Level (QSL) target for the business and customers
• Working closely with other departments (commercial, harvest, production etc.) to manage and investigate quality issues (e.g. complaints and rejections) and other non-conformances and resolve these in the agreed timescales
• Manage and develop multi skilled Quality Assurance and Label Room teams to ensure adherence to customer requirements and specifications
• Managing the QA budget
• Improve quality “ways of working” and develop a “right first time” culture, engaging production teams in this process
• Undertake regular internal/external quality visits (documenting and communicating findings to relevant stakeholders)
• Delivering any internal company initiatives and projects
• Managing customer visits in collaboration with other departments

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in fresh produce/quality role
• HACCP Level 2 (HACCP level 3 desirable)
• Food Safety Level 2 (Food Safety Level 3 desirable)
• Lead Auditor training preferable
• TACCP/VACCP training
• BRCGS version 9
• Strong IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office applications and other software
• the right to work in the UK
• Valid driving licence.
