Job Title: Buyer (Indirect Procurement)
Reporting to: Commercial Director
Contract: Permanent

          Main Duties:

• Build a market leading supply base. Establish long term relationships with strategic suppliers.
• Track and report supplier performance.
• Create plans, budgets, and deliverables to implement TSBC Procurement Strategy.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers, ensuring cost effectiveness, favourable terms.
• Identify procurement risks and work with relevant stakeholders to implement mitigation strategies.
• Work closely with Commercial team to align Supply with Demand and deliver Commercial Strategy.
• Work closely with Agronomy team to align growing standards and support network for our global grower base with TSBC agronomic know-how.
• Work closely with Technical and People & Culture teams to ensure compliance across global supply base.
• Seek supply development opportunities, efficiencies and cost savings initiatives

  Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience of Procurement, Sourcing and Agronomy within the Produce industry experience (minimum 5 years).
• Industry experience in an FMCG/Retail environment/Food environment – ideally with short shelf products.
• Excellent communication skills, people management, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
• Great networks across industry bodies, breeders, exporters, leading producers.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel worldwide.
• Bilingual English & Spanish or French.
• Advanced IT skills.
• Clean UK/EU Driving Licence
• Flexible with working hours to meet the demands of the company.
