Demand Planning Manager
Job Title: Demand Planning Manager
Reporting to: Commercial Director
Contract: Permanent
Main Duties:
- Ownership of all customers forecasts and effective management of forecast maintenance across the group planning teams.
- Provide and implement strategies that minimize stock outages through improved ordering, scheduling and detailed trend analysis.
- Achievement of agreed KPI’s and metrics such as Forecast Accuracy, OTIF, service Levels, Stock availability, Stock Holding expenditure targets in line with budget.
- Collaboration across the operational planning teams to develop an integrated supply operations planning process.
- Develop and manage relationships internally and externally to ensure a reliable, efficient supply chain from farm to fork.
- Ownership of relationships with our customers Purchasing and Quality teams to understand and support their initiatives and ensuring communication flow is maintained, accurate and timely.
- Collaborate with the logistics/transport and customer inbound teams to ensure inbound deliveries.
- Ensure effective transition management between seasons, varieties, pack types/sizes and origins.
Skills & Requirements:
- Proven experience of demand planning (minimum 3 years)
- Industry experience in an FMCG/Retail environment/Food environment/Customer Supply and chain operations
- Experience of managing an operational end to end supply chain.
- Process driven with evidence of change management and continual improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, self-motivating with an eye for detail and accuracy, able to work to deadlines.
- Problem solver, analytical thinker.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft package, especially Excel and Power Point.
- Clean UK/EU Driving Licence
- Flexible with working hours to meet the demands of the company.
